What a fabulous, unique thing to do on a Friday night with the family.
The perfect clear night sky set the tone for this wondrous, floating art experience around Northshore on the Brisbane River.
We arrived early and had a drink and bite to eat at the pop-up bar area then boarded this amazing vessel filled with huge, mesmerising inflatable art works beckoning us on board with hypnotic, dreamy, cosmic voices.
The mysterious, magical forms lighting up and changing colours as you move through them, their eyes following your every move.
As we popped the cork on a bottle of champas we listened to and an indigenous evening soundscape by Shannon Ruska about the surrounding areas, followed by an incredible performance by Beatboxer Tom Thum, who appeared to have not only a symphony orchestra but also a jazz band, techno DJ and collection of exotic world instruments all residing somewhere in his throat.
The 75-minute cruise was the perfect amount of time to enjoy the beautiful Brisbane River surrounded by a truly entrancing, captivating, artistic setting.
I loved it and would recommend it as a great family outing not to miss during the Brisbane Festival.
