A quirky, fun way of hearing a story of adventure, choices we make and avoiding catastrophe

“It was really loud, but I liked the cat bit… especially when she tried to make the cat quiet by covering its mouth. Really funny sounds, the monster was a little mean though” - Hazel (5yrs Old) What a delightful combination of weird and wonderful. A unique way...

What a delightful combination of weird and wonderful.

A unique way of stirring the imagination of the audience, young and old.

Dr AudiYo gets straight into exposing the style of performance the audience can anticipate, there is no speech uttered throughout forcing Dr AudiYo to use every part of the theatre (lights, stage, sound) to help support the narrative of the story.

Holly Austin (Dr AudiYo) was able to take the audience on a giant adventure with parallel storylines where the audience could select which adventure Dr AudiYo took.

She was able to engage audience members of all ages to enact scenes as part of the performance through gestures and sounds only.

Quite impressive.

This story really showcases how the power of non-verbal language & expert use of sound can be used to communicate to others, no matter your background or age.

Like a fun live video game that leaves you questioning if this really just a one-woman, one-voice show

I saw this with my 7, 5 and 3-year-olds. The older kids definitely appreciated the storyline element to this performance, but even my 3-year-old laughed and was engaged with the show the entire time. I did have to explain some of the miming to the kids but once...

The older kids definitely appreciated the storyline element to this performance, but even my 3-year-old laughed and was engaged with the show the entire time.

I did have to explain some of the miming to the kids but once they caught on to a new theme they were quick to understand what was happening.

The show left us totally amazed at the range of sounds Dr AudiYO made and the awesome way she was able to give us the story.

We loved how interactive the show was and my kids were desperate to be chosen to do something funning with Dr AudiYO.

It was great to have the whole audience involved at one stage, but in a way that was safe for introverts!

We all loved this, and hope we can see another Dr AudiYO show again one day!

Beat-boxing and miming told a story of a giant

I enjoyed some of the show but unlike the rest of the crowd, l thought the humour was for a younger audience. I liked her beat-boxing and her mimes. She conveyed this very well across because of her talent she successfully managed to get most of the audience...

I enjoyed some of the show but unlike the rest of the crowd, l thought the humour was for a younger audience.

I liked her beat-boxing and her mimes.

She conveyed this very well across because of her talent she successfully managed to get most of the audience to join in and cooperate with the acts.

I think next time it should not be in the Spiegeltent as the attendance was very low.

Loud, energetic, well-acted performance

It took a while to follow what was happening but then everyone (in the audience) became involved and brought their energy to the performance.

Interactive, energetic one-person show

As a 12-year-old, it was very hard to follow and understand. I only got the point of it towards the end.

It was hard to understand

The audience engagement was quite good and the person who performed it was very talented. However, it was hard to process what was going on and what the character was trying to do.

Had my attention but sometimes it was hard to follow the story

The performer was very talented. She helped me imagine what was happening. I really could see the cat and the window open even though they weren't there.

It was loud, funny, and she had the audience involved

There was only one person on the stage but she engaged the audience. She told the story through noise and actions.
