It was 50 years ago today, Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play...
It’s been fifty-odd years since The Beatles released their eighth studio album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band which was a great place for Lady Beatle to start.
Naomi Price is oh-so-charismatic with a cheeky sense of humour and a fab Liverpudlian accent and, along with her Lonely Hearts Club Band, whisks you off on a journey back to the very early days of the 1960s.
It feels like you’re listening to the story from the inner-sanctum of The Beatles whilst simultaneously looking in from the outside.
With a good dose of melancholy, homage was paid to their early manager Brian Epstein who launched The Beatles onto the world stage.
Most of the songs were sung true to their original style however, a few were given a new artistic interpretation that left me feeling a little bit flat but maybe that’s the purist in me.
A powerful voice and show highlighting the incredible music of four lads from Liverpool.
It will have you singing and dancing so watch out for dates as Lady Beatle is on tour around the country.
